Senior Account Manager (LC141)

A very successful integrated agency are looking for an experienced Senior Account Manager (“SAM”) to join one of their talented client services teams providing the opportunity to work on one of our flagship B2C technology clients. Experience in Retail and telecoms marketing is advantageous.
They work with some of the world’s leading technology brands including Microsoft, 3Com, LG, Logica and Canon, some of which have been clients of ours for over eight years. Customer centricity therefore is fundamental to everything we do and we are looking for a like-minded individual who understands the value of strong service ethics.
The role, reporting to an Account Director will involve a combination of the following:
• Commercial Awareness
Understanding the parameters of the client’s budget in order to deliver in line with their expectations as well as maintaining the profitability of each project.
• Project Ownership
End-to-end project implementation from initial briefing to final delivery, ensuring that client briefs are interpreted well, work prioritised, internal processes followed and deadlines met. The Senior Account Manager must have an ability to lead a strategic response to brief.
• Client Visibility
Strong client relationships are critical – you will be the main point of contact to your client for all day-to-day matters. To negotiate and gain approval from your client on all projects and creative work to ensure it is carried out in line with agreed parameters.
• Client Knowledge
To develop an understanding of your client’s business, their competitors, their market, their objectives. You will need to evaluate copy and creative work to assess its suitability for client presentation.
• Evaluating Creative
Articulate briefing of internal creative departments, participation in brainstorms and evaluation of creative work prior to client presentation are key skills.
• Presentation Skills
To both orally and in writing present the Agency’s recommendations effectively, logically and concisely.
• Proactivity
Thinking proactively on behalf of your client and the agency. Considering new marketing initiatives and forthcoming projects.
• Team Player
Be conscious of the rest of your team, appreciate their workload and offer support where possible. To manage the work flow for Account Executives on the same client business and to deputise for your line manager when they re unavailable both internally and with clients.
